PhoneGap iPhone App tutorial

This tutorial written for Web Designer magazine takes a mobile web site and using the PhoneGap framework and Xcode,  turns the site into a native iPhone App. PhoneGap contains stub apps for iPhone, Android, Blackberry and other smart phones, all you have to do is drop in your mobile website and it will turn that into a native App provided you have the dev kit installed on your computer. This tutorial takes a site, adds a custom icon and splash screen while the App loads.

PhoneGap also exposes native Phone features such as Accelerometer to javascript functions so that you can include this functionality into your project.
